Restaurants used to be all about bringing your ugly kids into a place where someone else would be in charge of cleaning up their spilled Sierra Mists.

It was basically like, "look, what are you gonna do about my kid going spread eagle on the table while watching Home Alone 3 on my iPad? Kick us out? Just go get us some more bread 'Dakota.'"

But now Utah's getting all hoity-toity with fancy restaurants and I'm not just talking about Sizzler.

Here's the most expensive restaurants in the state per Rarest.org: (full article)

This place is in the St. Regis in Deer Valley.

9. Log Haven $31-50 | SLC

Looks like a cool venue. Do they take groupons?

8. Valter's Osteria $31-60 | SLC

The famous chef passed away in 2022. He was friends with Gregg Popovich.

7. Tuscany Restaurant $31-75

I'd kill for that food right now.

6. Ruth's Chris Steak $40-90 | SLC

I've never been to a Ruth's Chris. Who cares.

5. La Caille $50 and over | Sandy

Wow that doesn't look like Sandy.

4. Bambara Salt Lake City $50 and over | SLC

Pretty fancy...

3. Fleming's Prime Steakhouse and Wine Bar $53 and over | SLC

Gimme that.

2. The Yurt at Solitude $140 | Cottonwood Canyon

What the heck is that?

1. La Trattoria Di Francesco $260 | SLC

Wow. That's a lot of dough for something that looks like something my wife would want to eat. You see, man want steak. Man want wingy. Man want Arby's 4 for $5 with extra horsey sauce.

You know the drill.

Have you been to any of these places?
