
Huge Bank Closing Locations Including in Utah
For me, going to the bank is like going to the hospital. I get a knot in my stomach, they have 'instruments', and I'm gonna have to turn my head and cough.
I've never gone to the bank and left happy.
You're either talking them out of overdraft fees or you're trying to get a loan to a buy Street Fighter arcade, but they're never really impressed with what you've made of yourself. Bankers can be a little Judge Judy if you ask me.
But it's a Catch-22 because you never want your bank to close because then what?
Well, one of the biggest banks in the country, Wells Fargo, is closing a bunch of locations including one in Utah according to themirror.com:
"The [Wells Fargo] downsizing involves shuttering a number of branches. Last year, the company closed 92 branches and despite declining average loans, Wells Fargo reported net income of $18.6 billion or $5.43 per share in 2024.
The profit means Wells Fargo will likely continue their strategy of closing banks. Recently, they filed documents with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) indicating the following 14 branches are closing: (LINK TO FULL ARTICLE)

Yikes.
I feel for anybody who's bank that is. I know there's others but you get used to that branch at that location. You get to know the bankers. You know exactly how to rob it if things go south etc...(everybody has a plan).
