One Of Utah’s BIGGEST Gas Stations Is Closing 1000 Locations!
One of Utah's biggest gas stations will be soon closing down over 1000 locations nationwide. These closures will happen between 2024 and 2025. The gas and oil giant will be shifting their focus to expand their services for electric vehicles.
WHAT COMPANY?
The company that will be shutting down over 1000 locations is SHELL. Shell has 54 locations in Utah sprawling from St. George to Kanab to Salt Lake City. They intend on installing around 70,000 electric vehicle charging stations by 2025, and over 200,000 by 2030!
WHAT DOES THIS MEAN FOR THE REMAINING SHELL STATIONS?
The Shell stations that are not affected will receive upgraded retail spaces, expanded charging stations and convenience offers.
WHAT UTAH SHELL STATIONS WILL BE AFFECTED?
So far, the announcement hasn't been made as to which Utah Shell stations will be affected.
In 2023, Shell USA acquired the charging company Volta, and they now own over 3,000 charging stations across 31 states. There are also over 3,400 charging stations that are currently in development right now.
