This is an anonymous message from a girl whose friend is being abused by her husband. This person doesn't know how to help, and is considering breaking off the friendship because of the situation. The message is below:

"A friend of mine is being abused by her husband. She's says they have an amazing relationship, that they are best friends, and things will be good for months then out of blue he will rage and start punching things including her. Every time she sends me pictures of her new bruises I want to throw up. It's so hard being on the other side when I can't do much anything but support her I've even called our local Domestic Violence shelter for her. She doesn't know how to file for divorce, be a single mom, and she hasn't even had a job since she was a teenager besides being a stay at home mom.  Then her husband comes around begging her to forgive him and he swears he will be better. They are so good for a few months then he rages again, hurts her again and she's back to the confusion of what to do. I'm sick of it. I'm scared he will eventually kill her. We've seen so much of this the last few weeks. Part of me wants to break off the friendship, because she won't leave and I'm sick of watching this happen over and over. It's like watching an addict. What can I even do?"
