St. George Restaurants That Should FRANCHISE!
St. George is home to me, and it's home to some of my most favorite restaurants! I've been all over the world, and I still believe that St. George has some restaurants that are SO GOOD, they could be HUGE franchises.
Utah is not a stranger to birthing out big franchises. Even St. George has created two Goliath-sized franchises in Cafe Rio and Swig!
But what other restaurants in St. George could make it as a major franchise, not only in Utah, but in the entire nation?
1. Sakura:
Yes, of course hibachi restaurants already exist everywhere, but Sakura has to be the best! In St. George, we always have some pretty huge wait times... and for good reason! The food is delicious, the atmosphere is awesome, and the experience is always so fun. Bring Sakura across the nation. It absolutely deserves it!
2. Angelica's Mexican Grill:
Angelica's is formerly known as Irmita's. Here's where things get confusing because Irmita opened up "Irmita's" again, so now everyone is all confused! However, trust me: Angelica's is SO GOOD, and there's always a huge line out the door. I love their street tacos. The carne asada street tacos are awesome, but their sweet carnitas are always a fan favorite. My favorite part is the salsa bar!
3. Durango's:
In a world of Cafe Rio's, some of us are Durango's. Similar food, but the preference for many is Durangos. Durangos has one location, and still lives in the shadow of Cafe Rio. The quesadillas are better, the food is a bit cheaper, and they have Chicken Tortilla Soup, and it's some of my favorite soup to ever exist.
4. Bishop's:
If you're into a mom & pop diner, look no further than Bishop's! When I was a kid, Bishop's was a tiny little hole-in-the-wall place that was connected to a motel. They've now moved out of that location and have two spots in St. George and it's an inexpensive diner, and has delicious breakfast. I love a diner like Bishop's. If you ever try it out, make sure you try their scones! They're delish!
What local restaurant do you think could be the next big franchise out of Utah?
