Chapter 9 Falling Rocks Installment 52

Succubus continued to move rocks around on the floor by his bed.

When he heard Ipses quiet down and begin breathing heavily, he rolled over and again raised a rock in the air. This rock he drifted through the room and carefully put on the bed next to the sleeping Ghamegis. He raised more stones, putting them with the first, until there was a small stack near the tall demon’s limp hand. Then he lifted a good size rock over Ipses head again, holding it there for just a moment until, with a wave of his hand, he let it drop. It made a solid thunk on the demon’s thick skull.

Ipses jumped from his bed, furious. It only took seconds for him to locate the stack of rocks near Ghamegis. He lunged toward him and smacked his sleeping bunkmate across the face.

“What’re ya doin?” roared Ghamegis sitting up with a confused, painful expression.

Gesturing at the rocks sitting near his hand Ipses answered, “You hit me in the head with a rock.”

Confused, Ghamegis looked at the small pile. His face still stinging, he reached forward and grabbed one of them. He cocked his hand back to throw it, “You mean one of these rocks?”

From Bad to Worse

Ipses drew back, with his hand outstretched, in the stance they had been taught to curse. The hurled projectile from Ghamegis’ hand flew past Ipses’ useless appendage and smacked him again squarely in his already sore forehead.

He folded to the floor, screaming and clutching his face. At this point all of the others in the cavern were awake and blinking at the scene at the end of the cave.

Succubus leaned forward and yelled “What are you two doing waking everyone up?”
