Have You Dreamt of Sleeping Where the Dog Sleeps?

We have a small dog, and we provide her with a dog bed to sleep on. I have seen my kids and nieces and nephews lay in the dog bed from time to time, sometimes with the dog and sometimes without. I always thought it was a little peculiar, but figured it was kids doing their thing.

Now I see I was witnessing a hidden desire of dog owners and even more, a potential money-making opportunity. The Plufi was introduced on Shark Tank by Noah Silverman and Yuki Kinoshita. It is 6 feet long and 3 feet wide and will run you about $300 bucks.

Who Needs Beds and Couches Anymore?

Here in Utah, Costco offers the Pet Napper for a more reasonable $99. It is big enough for a couple of big dogs or a human and their pet. When you see this monstrosity, you might be a little confused as I was. “What was the purpose of the dog bed in the first place?”

We have a dog bed so that our little pet will stay off the couch and the beds. She sheds a lot of fur, especially when the warm months turn cooler. It made sense to give her a comfortable place of her own. It seems confusing to now jump into that hairy spot.

When those unruly relatives come over, I have just the thing. It is a human sized kennel where they can be banished to until they behave. I never knew dogs had it so good.
