In Green Bay’s preseason opener many fans were left slightly concerned about the unimpactful albeit limited performance of Packers QB Jordan Love.

The former Utah State Aggie completed 1 pass on 5 attempts for 7 yards all while given two drives, neither of which resulted in any Packer points and featured a nasty drop.

The poor showing was later revealed to be in part to Love knocking his left thumb directly off an opposing players helmet while taking a sack, resulting in a torn ligament.

That led to the signal caller having a “procedure”, a word that sends chills down any fans spine, especially in regards to your franchise quarterback.

Despite such terms as “torn” and “injury”, there is apparently no reason to fear.

Love should not only be good to go by the season opener, but could be expected back at practice as soon as this very next week.

If it’s any indication, Packers backup Malik Willis didn’t seem to be concerned as he referenced the problem at hand only being relevant for a “couple days.”

Packers and Utah State fans can rest a bit easier now as Love should be back to himself and back on the field in very little time.

Even so, don’t be shocked if the Packers decide to hold him out the rest of the preseason as a precaution for what is bound to be a grueling season in the talent filled NFC North.

To win this division, health, luck and skill will all be required to walk away as champions, and Green Bay avoided a major blow on the health front.

The Packers next preseason tilt will be this Saturday in Indianapolis at 11:00 AM.
