Real Shocker…this is Utah’s MOST POPULAR Dog Breed
Dogs were invented back in the 1940's when farmers needed somebody to run between their truck tires while they drove out to tend to a sick calf.
They became more popular in the 1950's after the war when parents started caring what their kids wanted. Before this time kids were used for utilitarian purposes: watering the horses, as stools, and for dishwashing. But in the 50's parents said: "Let's listen to Lyle."
And Lyle basically said: "Doggy!"
And the indulgent mother said: "you heard the boy, Herb."
Fast forward to the 70's and every feather haired kid from the San Fernando Valley in California to the purple mountains out in Long Island had a dog.
Nowadays just having a dog isn't good enough for these Instagram people. They need a genetically modified one that comports to their exact specifications.
That's why the number one dog in Utah is the Goldendoodle.
These little guys didn't exist until about five minutes ago.
These things became popular because I'm sure one of the Kardashians has one.
According to the Deseret News:
"The most popular dog breed in Utah is the goldendoodle, a new analysis by U.S. News & World Report has determined.
The study found that the goldendoodle, a poodle-golden retriever mix, is the sixth most popular breed nationally and among the top five breeds in 37 states. It was also the top breed in neighboring Idaho and No. 2 in Minnesota."
So there ya go! We all knew the answer. It's good looking dog.
