Summer might be overrated.

When we think about summer we usually think longer days, warm weather, you go on vacation to a place with a water park, there's fresh tomatoes and corn everywhere, concerts and festivals, your friend has a boat and you go knee-boarding, and you eat ice cream all day.

But the truth is it's just too dang hot.

You get sunburned, there's mosquitoes poking you, you're utility bills are through the roof, there's road construction ramping up, and your dog has heat stroke.

Utah Has Mini Heat Wave This Week

According to ABC4.com: (LINK TO FULL ARTICLE)

"Today’s temperatures are expected to warm up another couple of degrees, which translates to daytime highs in the low to mid-90s for most valleys, 80s for high terrain, and upper 90s to low 100s for the warmest spots.

There won’t be much cloud cover in the north to provide shade, but parts of eastern and southern Utah will see a mix of sun and clouds. We can’t rule out a brief thunderstorm rolling into the southwest desert, including Price, St. George and Cedar City."

Jeez we're already hitting the mid-90s in northern Utah and it's only June 10th?

Brutal.

Just stay inside and watch Night Court, sip on a couple pounds of Dr. Pepper, and just take it easy.

Summer is a time to really reconnect with your television in a dark room with the shades drawn. Don't overdo it out there.
