Paper is what makes our country move.
Paper money was the best and paper checks are still the best.
You get a check in the mail, you can feel it in your hands, and there's something very pleasurable about driving over to the bank, looking the smug teller in the eye as you make a cash withdrawal. It's like a mini stick-up.

Now what do they want you to do? Logon to some crap website with some ridiculous password you'll never be able to remember?

"The SSA is making the change as part of a federal push to reduce fraud and save money. According to data, paper checks are about 16 times more likely to be lost or stolen than electronic payments.
The transition will cause stress and difficulty for many people in Arizona. Seniors without a bank account or reliable internet access may face delays. Confusion and difficulty navigating the new system could pose deep challenges for some."
Alright, fine.
That makes sense.
Keeping track of mail is hard, but I'd argue figuring out how to get your money online is even harder and more complicated.
