When I was in college at Utah State I went with a bunch of people to the Nunnery in Logan Canyon.

The nunnery is this spooky place where nuns used to be sent for punishment. There's these old vacant cabins and there's a bunch of stories about ghosts and murder. So, it's 1 a.m. and everybody's on edge and freaked out touring this haunted place. And I'm with my buddy who has a cute date with him. We're all scared and it's intense. It's pitch dark.

All of a sudden we feel this rush coming towards us and these little lights flying at us and we are all start screaming. My buddy who's 6'2 and 220 pounds instinctively grabs his little date and puts her in front of him as a human shield from whatever evil ghost is about to attack us. And of course it turns out it's not a ghost. It's a couple of bored cops who saw us trespassing and wanted to give us a scare and snuck up on us with their flashlights. But we give crap to my buddy about that all the time. He grabbed this girl and put her in front to protect himself.

This is what the Buffalo Bills did yesterday.

In the intensity of the playoffs, when their facing the scariest foe on earth, Patrick Mahomes and at the most frightening point of the game with their playoff life on the line, they grabbed their 160 pound kicker and put him out in front to protect themselves.

The offense had their chance to win the. Go up by four with 90 seconds left. At home! But they couldn't do it. So today the headlines are "Wide Right part 2: Tyler Bass foots the blame for the Bills loss." Don't fall for it Bills fans. Don't blame him. Blame the big 6'5  and 230 pound quarterback hiding behind him.
