BIZARRE…Utah Popeye’s Introduce Some Crazy New Items

Popeye's is one of my favorite places to go on a Saturday.

I pry my fat body off the couch, sneak out before my wife can ask where I'm going, put on a podcast about Chris Farley, and head to the drive thru.

Popeye's has some of the best biscuits this side of Toquerville. They come out hot and you get the butter and the honey and you just sit there in your Oldsmobile wishing that this was your last meal.

And that's before you even get to the chicken with the blackened ranch and the fries and it's just one heckuva restaurant.

This week however, they've introduced some menu items that are a little perplexing...

Popeye's offers pickle themed menu items

Let's start with Pickled Lemonade...

Yow!

Not sure I could do this.

"Popeyes Pickle Lemonade tastes incredibly similar to lemon-lime Gatorade, which is my least favorite flavor of Gatorade. (Orange forever!) It’s not bad, though! I’d suggest sharing one with a friend so you can both say you at least tried it, and grab another drink to go with your meal. If you like it enough, you can always get another one for the road."

Man, I don't know about this.

I love pickles but this might be a bridge too far.

Other pickle themed items include a pickled glazed chicken sandwich and fried pickles.

Those I can get behind!
