BYU Fans Get Ultimate Show of Respect (?)
Nobody wants 20,000 rabid BYU fans invading their college football stadium.
For one, your beer sales are going to plummet.
And two, they're going to overwhelm your fanbase with their royal blue t-shirts.
It's one thing when BYU fans show out at Liberty or USF, but now these Brighamites are threatening the BIG 12!
TCU isn't going to allow their stadium to be overrun by Cougar nation.
Per TCU's ticket purchasing site:
TCU is now offering the Keep It Purple Plan as the only option to purchase single game tickets for BYU or Texas for this 2023 football season!
This package is not available for resale.
TCU Athletics tickets/parking are intended for use primarily by the original purchaser. TCU reserves the right to review all transactions and revoke tickets/parking from any account determined by TCU, in its sole discretion, to be a violation of TCU policies or intent. No refund, exchange or credit will be given.
BYU fans should be flattered by this. It's their first year in the BIG 12 and TCU, the team that went to the National Championship last year is afraid of BYU's fans.
And it looks like even if a BYU fan is able to purchase a ticket on the secondary market, TCU "reserves the right to review all transactions and revoke tickets" (!)
This is pretty heavy stuff by TCU, but I think they're going to have to build a wall around Fort Worth to keep Cougar fans out.
Pro tip for BYU fans: Wear a purple TCU shirt into the stadium and then at kickoff everybody simultaneously pull it off to reveal your royal blue shirts.
