Make it Stop! Another Huge Retailer Closing 200 Stores, Utah Effected??
Blame it on Bezos I guess.
First it was Joann's then Macy's then the other one...
Now it's Forever 21.
They filed for bankruptcy a few years ago but were saved by another company. But now they're filing for bankruptcy again which means the handful of stores in Utah could be going away.
There are Forever 21 stores in Orem, Farmington, and Murray in Utah.
According to Fox Business (LINK TO FULL ARTICLE):
"A Chapter 11 liquidation appears to be the most likely scenario for the retail chain as a going concern buyer for its U.S. assets and leases has not yet emerged," said Foss, who explained that a liquidation would have a significant impact, not only on the company's workforce, but also on shopping malls nationwide which have been hamstrung in recent years amid a shift to online shopping."
Forever is a long time and they had a good run.
I'm amazed at women who are able to buy clothes online then have the gumption to re-package it up and send it back? And they do that dance a hundred times a month it seems like from my first hand experience.
I don't have what it takes to shop online. You have to fill out your information and your credit card and shipping and it's too much. It's like applying to college.
You get overwhelmed and head to the kitchen for some leftover tuna.
I feel bad for all these brick and mortars that just can't compete anymore. They fought the good fight but now it's time we all learn to clean and detail our robot overlords.
