The Utah Tech women's track and field program will host a Speed Elite Camp, featuring 2004 Olympic Gold Medalist Justin Gatlin, at Greater Zion Stadium on Friday and Saturday, July 14-15, 2023.

The two-day camp is open to any and all youth ages 10-to-18 years old who play any sports, as well as any current junior college student-athletes. However current four-year university student-athletes, 4-4 transfers, or current Utah Tech students may not attend.
The camp will feature instruction from Gatlin, who won gold in the 100-meter at the XXVIII Summer Olympiad in Athens, Greece, and is a five-time Olympic medalist and a four-time world champion sprinter.  Along with Gatlin, Utah Tech Head Women's Track Coach and former Olympian Derrick Atkins, and world renowned professional track athlete and coach Rodney Green will provide coaching and training.  "Every sport has an element of speed, and all athletes regardless of sport will benefit from our camp," Coach Atkins said. "We are excited to be able to put on a camp here at Utah Tech featuring an Olympic gold medalist and world champion in Justin Gatlin. Having Justin come out and help with our Speed Elite Camp is big for us and the St. George area."

Camp attendees will receive world-class instruction on topics including training, running technique, speed development, hurdle technique, plyometrics, goal setting and nutrition, along with several other skills.

Campers will receive an official camp t-shirt, bag, an autographed card from the instructors, and photo opportunities.
