Pine View Football Preview 2025 – ESPN 97.7
Brock Harris is a high school football unicorn for several reasons.
First, his on-the-field talent makes him one of one in the country. He’s 6-foot-6 and runs like the wind. He’s an expert at plucking the ball out of the air in 50/50 situations, has a nose for the end zone, and excels in every aspect of what makes a great tight end.
Second, he stayed at Pine View High School instead of transferring to an elite prep academy. When you look at lists of top prospects in the country, most of them are at places like IMG Academy, St. Thomas Aquinas, or Bishop Gorman. Harris stayed put.
Third, he’s genuinely all about his team. He’s been asked countless questions by media outlets across the country over the past few years, and he’s always authentically humble. Coach Boyer said, “He won’t talk about anything that he’s doing. He just shows up to practice and works. I have to pull stuff out of him to get him to talk about himself.”
Harris will be playing his senior year with returning starting quarterback Levi Shaw. “Levi is one of the nicest kids I know,” said Harris. “He’s always putting other people ahead of himself. He’s the ultimate teammate.”
Boyer has high hopes for Shaw this season. “Levi has put in tremendous work to keep his body healthy and become an all-around better athlete. He’s a mature young man and a proven leader just by his work ethic.”
Pine View’s defense lost the majority of its starters from last season, but Boyer is optimistic about new defensive coordinator Dre Smith and middle linebacker Malosi Moor.
“Malosi came on halfway through the year last season and really started to develop. He became a great outside backer. He knew coverages and blitzes—he really began to feel the game. With a new defensive system in place, he’s moving to middle linebacker, where he’s going to control the defense.”
Pine View opens the season at home against Manti on August 15.
