PURE MAGIC…Have You Been to Utah’s BEST DRIVE-IN Theater??
Drive-in theaters are the most magical place on Earth.
Disney comes in second.
I once went to a drive-in and they said that'll be $10 dollars and I said: "What about the body in the trunk." and they said that'll be $15 dollars.
They hear that joke a lot.
I was curious about the best drive-in theater experience in Utah because the only one I've been to was a jimmy rigged one here in St. George up by the old airport.
Here's what people say.
According to saltlakemagazine.com, Redwood Drive-in Theater in West Valley City might be tops (LINK TO FULL ARTICLE):
"This outdoor theater has been showing movies since 1948! Since then they’ve made a bunch of changes including a state of the art projector system. Broadcasting a movie through their powerful FM system makes movies feel more real than ever. So, grab the kids and load up the suburban. Located in West Valley City additional details can be found on their website."
Let's go.
I mean when is the last time you went to West Valley and really sunk your teeth into it? Let's go watch the Air Bud series this weekend? Whattya say? What do you have in-laws in town? Bring em! Popcorn, Coke, sour straws, foggy windows, bad sound, what's more nostalgic than that?
Salt Lake Magazine also mentions the Erda Drive-in which used to be known as the Motor Vu Theater. They have great concession prices.
They also mention the Shooting Star by the Grand Staircase.
I've been to none of these. I look forward to visiting them all!
