The lone team from Utah in March Madness is the Utah State Aggies. Tell me you picked them in the first round against Missouri...

The Aggies are favored by one point! Against a Missouri team who went 12-7 in the SEC. I think the analytics people are affecting the lines these days. Utah State was 18th in the NET Rankings, while Missouri was somewhere in the 40s.

When was the last time USU was favored in a tournament game? I understand that they are the 10-seed but I like their chances.

They overachieved in the Mountain West Tournament by beating New Mexico and Boise State before losing to San Diego State. I think losing a hard fought game to a really good Aztec team going into the tournament might actually be helpful.

USU needs to make 12 or more threes to win this morning. That is definitely doable, the problem is Missouri shoots the lights out from three as well. The good news is, Mizzou is small. They don't have guys who can score inside like SDSU did. But the most important thing in the tournament is composure and having somebody you can rely on in high pressure situations.

Utah State's Ryan Odom made history a few years ago with UMBC when the 16-seed Retrievers knocked off the 1-seed Virginia Cavaliers.

I like that mojo the Aggies have with Odom.

I also like the killer tandem of Steven Ashworth and Taylor Funk.

The question is how many open rhythm jump shots they get against this SEC team. Hopefully enough to win.

I'm glad I picked the Aggies and hope you did too.
