Where??…the Best HIDDEN GEM Pizza Place in Utah
Pizza is one of these things that people go to blows over.
My uncle lost his marriage over pizza.
My third grade teacher was demoted because of his pineapple preference.
The mayor of the town I went to junior college was impeached over olives.
There's nothing more "hot button" than pizza.
So you gotta be careful when you share an opinion.
But according to FOX 13, there's one spot that maybe should be considered Utah's best hidden gem pizza place.
The Hurricane/Dixie Pizza Wagon
What could be better?
According to FOX 13:
"The obscure location situated inside a Hurricane parking lot ranked No. 5 on the list that included such pizza-centric heavyweight locales like New York City and Chicago.
Known for their handcrafted, wood-fired pizzas, the "Dixie Pizza Wagon" is a literal wagon sitting underneath a ramshackle structure that looks like something created out of whatever materials were found in the parking lot that day." (LINK TO FULL ARTICLE)
I've gotta admit, I've never had this.
I've heard about it and driven by it countless times but have never stopped. What am I doing?

“Best” can be interpreted pretty widely in this sub. Been in UT County for 19 years, here’s my list of locally owned joints (ranked top to bottom):
- highest quality ingredients with thoughtful flavors and seasonal rotation in the menu? MOZZ
- Good pizza, great beer menu? SLACKWATER
- Solid, inexpensive, with godawful service? LUCY’S
- Killer sauce, bread-y crust, super chill vibe? NICO’S
Were do you stand on the best hidden pizza gem in Utah?
