Fishing was invented back after WW2 when father in laws needed to take their son in laws away from the house.

The idea was basically: "look son, yes you served, and you have a short haircut, but is Jane gonna be back on my payroll by Autumn? After all, you're working at the hamburger stand right now, and I know you have plans to start your own mechanic shop, but who's gonna co-sign on the loan?

And the groom to be would hem and hah and end every sentence with "sir" and eventually he'd just go ahead and knock-up Jane, and then father was hustling to set up folding chairs at the Moose lodge to get this marriage done before the baby started poking out.

"Scott and his friends had to have the fish weighed using a certified scale. They found a brand new one at Buckboard Marina on the Wyoming side of the reservoir.

Jennifer Valdez, who owns the marina, said it was exciting.

“Oh my gosh, it was huge. It laid kitty-corner in the cooler,” she said. “A fish biologist saw it and said it was probably 50 years-old.”
