America’s “Worst Chocolate” is Sold in Utah
Chocolate is the most important discovery of the 20th century (or whenever it was discovered).
Before chocolate people ate fruit for their sweets. (ha!)
They'd literally be sitting there in their recliner after a long day of work reading a book about Rome, and they'd get a hankering for a snack and get up, go to the pantry and come away with a banana!

Can you imagine? What is the point of going on at that point? Why get out of bed?
Yet people persisted for centuries without chocolate and because they did we are now blessed to go to the pantry and come away with Ghirardelli squares that have caramel stuffed in them.
But not all chocolate is created equal.
According to 247wallst.com, here is the "Worst Chocolate" in America.
America's "Worst Chocolate" is Sold in Utah
Mars chocolate.
From 247wallst.com:
"Why should you avoid Mars chocolate? While the company has made promises to change the way it produces chocolate, those promises remain unfulfilled. In 2001, the Washington Post wrote that their promises to eliminate chocolate made by slave labor from their factories were not kept. Mars revised their deadline to do so to 2005, then 2008, then 2010, and finally 2020. None of these deadlines were met."
So the reason it is the worst is for ethical reasons not necessarily taste reasons.

According to the article, CBS found out back in 2023 that there were 5-year-old kids working for Mars in Ghana in dangerous conditions.
I wasn't expecting this. I thought it was going to be that the ingredients were bad not that it was made by kids and slaves.
