Every kid had a bulls starter jacket and and a Jordan jersey, they would pray to him in the cafeteria before lunch. He was like Maradona.

And I didn't like Jordan! When he played the Jazz in the finals I was foolishly rooting for the Jazz. I wanted to see Stockton and Malone win a championship. Why did it always have to be Jordan?

And the byproduct of M. Jeff era, is a whole lot of legendary second best players strewn throughout the 90's who never won titles. Stockton, Malone, Barkley, Reggie, Kemp, Ewing, Wilkins, Mullin.

None of those guys ever won and that'll be the first thing on their obituary. Great player, never won a title.

That's why this era of the NBA is like the "Court of Dreams" for all of those second best players. If they played now, all of them would get a championship!
In the Jordan 90's era, there were two NBA finals MVPs. Jordan, and then when Jordan was playing baseball there was Olajuwon.

In the 10 years since 2015, there's been 9 different NBA finals mvps.
There's been 7 different teams in 7 years win titles. Shai gets a title, Jayson Tatum, Jokic, Giannis, Kawhi, Curry, Lebron. You all get titles! None of you will be on the end of a broadcast booth in 10 years being made fun of for never winning!
This is the era where all of the Charles Barkleys, Patrick Ewings and Karl Malones get their championships.
