I love Megaplex.

I used to go every Tuesday because I'm a cheap-o loser.

I'd get the jumbo popcorn and a big old hardball (coke). And here's a little tip that you can take or leave, put some Butterfinger chunks in your popcorn. Everybody does the M&M's or Peanut M&M's which is fine, but just give Butterfinger a try. I believe it could knock your socks off.

Anyway, one of the most talked about movies out right now is called Warfare. It's about the Iraq war and apparently very unique in how it tells its story.

Basically, it's completely understated. I don't think there's a lot of music or dramatic acting. And it's mainly in real time so it doesn't feel like a typical Saving Private Ryan war movie that jumps from one group to another or spans a long period of time.

I've wanted to go see it but apparently it's not in Megaplex theaters in Utah.

It's showing at AMC theaters and others in Utah but not at Megaplex which stinks.

"It could honestly not even be Megaplex's decision. If the studio didn't send it to Megaplex then they wouldn't have any showings for it.

I used to work at Megaplex and this would happen occasionally. It was years ago so I don't remember the specific studios but every now and then we would just not have movies that other locations did. I never found out why this was the case but as I was just a basic level employee I probably wouldn't even have been told anyway."

They may have a point!

According to rumors, Megaplex and A24 the studio who made the movie are having a dispute right now and that's why this film isn't being shown in the theater.

Who the heck knows. Hopefully they can get it resolved soon if that's the case.
