Bad News for Vapers in State of Utah
It seems like every third person is basically Pete's Dragon these days. I know I'm out of touch, but vaping has gone crazy.
Back in the day people were smoking cigarettes in doctors' offices and on airplanes and you'd give your toddler some whiskey when he had a toothache.
I understand we've come a long way and for many vaping is a way to avoid a worse thing like smoking cigarettes. So no judgement from me. Heck most of these vapes smell like Starbursts.
But according to ABC4.com, that's all going to be coming to an end in Utah: (LINK TO FULL ARTICLE)
"Nearly all flavored vape products are now banned in Utah after a federal judge’s Monday ruling in an ongoing lawsuit against the state’s new e-cigarette law.
A law banning all flavored e-cigarette products was set to go into effect at the beginning of 2025 but was put on pause after a judge granted a temporary restraining order in late December."
My understanding is the restraining order was issued because the law was going to have inspections happen at all these vape shops and they're looking into if that's gonna be lawful.
I understand the purpose of the law is to keep kids from getting into vaping and the fact that vapes had all of these candy like flavors was an obvious attempt to market to kids. That makes sense to me.
But I'm not sure I'm down with banning it totally. Shouldn't adults be able to do what they want with their bodies? Political!
