BUSTED…License Plate TOO OFFENSIVE…Watch Out, Utah!

I guess my point is, if you outlaw an "offensive" license plate, the person can just get a bumper sticker that says the exact same thing, right?

I mean we all know Kramer was the "ASSMAN" and that was cool, so what could be so much worse that the government has to get involved this time?

Let's look at some:

It's the Holy War for heaven's sake. BYU fans have heard worse from drunken Utah fans at Rice-Eccles. (Although, do they even play this game anymore??)

Not even close. Maybe it should have been outlawed after his defensive player of the year season, but now whoever had this just seems like a genius...

This guy thinks he's clever. 

I wouldn't jail him, but I'd pull him over constantly.

This one is tough for BYU fans because they want to say "Utah Sucks" but it requires some qualifiers...

Ok, now for the reason for this story...

Nevada has really outlawed a license plate:

"GOBK2CA"

This is hilarious.

Per KRON4.com:

The plate — which reads “GOBK2CA,” short for “Go back to California” — was recalled by the state Department of Motor Vehicles in May after it received a complaint, KOLO-TV first reported. Now the vehicle owner is appealing the recall and will have a hearing on Wednesday, according to the Reno-area news station.

A section of the Nevada Administrative Code applied to the recall prohibits defamatory references to a person or group.

“In this case, the defamed group is Californians,” DMV spokesperson Eli Rohl told the Las Vegas Review-Journal. He added that the department “regularly” turns down license plates that share the same message. (Link to full article)
