Does Your Utah City Have THIS DOG LAW?
Dog people usually love their pet more than just about anything else including....
People.
Good looking people.
Arby's.
Bermuda.
Their mom.
Your mom.
Anyway, you get the idea.
This is why if you're a pet owner, doing things right by Snuggles is very important to you.
Utah is not a does not have a statewide leash law, but according to Good Guys Injury Law, certain states do.
Per Dog Friendly SLC
Salt Lake County, Davis, Weber and Utah Counties "require dogs to be kept on a leash unless in a designated off-leash area."
Okay so the biggest counties in the state do require a leash what about Park City?

"A unique variance to the common leash rule is Park City (aka Bark City). While Park City does require all dogs to be on leash, it also allows an e-collar to be used instead of a leash as long as the owner can see and has full control of the dog."
What the heck is an e-collar?
In Washington County Utah, dogs are required to be on a leash when out in public as well. The leash must be no longer than 6 feet.
I guess you gotta go out into the sticks if you wanna let Snuggles spread his wings. Or I guess have a farm.
Back in the glory days dogs were on farms and only used for utilitarian purposes. There was no Instagram so you'd work the dog raw until it got old and then you'd "send him away" to Uncle Fred's big ranch up in Idaho.
