
WATCH: Utah Strip Mall Explodes After Car Wreck
There's something about the summer and danger.
People are out later, they're driving faster, they're hot and sweaty.
There's a reason it's called the 100 deadliest days I guess.
Well over the weekend in Herriman, there was a horrifying accident that caused three people to be hospitalized after crashing into a strip mall and causing a huge explosion.

"The incident occurred when three cars got into an accident just outside the strip mall, causing the vehicles to slam into one of the businesses and damage a gas line, according to Herriman police and the Unified Fire Authority.

Officials did not publicly identify the drivers or the people who were injured in the crash and subsequent fire. The condition of the victims remains unknown.
The fire authority, however, did tout the work of two bystanders who acted quickly to help pull out some of the victims from the inferno."
It's amazing how powerful the explosion is. I guess that's what happens when you hit a gas line.

All I've seen is that those involved in the accident have been hospitalized. I hope they're all able to recover.
I wonder how protected gas lines are in these buildings. I understand that a car can probably bust through any protection, but I'd like to know what the building codes require for protecting the lines. It's not a huge threat a car is going to fly through your store, but if it does holy hell.
