"I've always wondered how Steve Perry feels about Journey now.

Steve Perry sang don't stop believing which is the top selling track in iTunes history.

Journey was selling out arenas in the 80's, and was one of the most famous bands of its era in large part because of Steve Perry.

His nickname was The Voice for heaven's sake, because nobody could reach notes like Perry.

But in the 2000's Perry had some stuff come up and couldn't continue in the band. So they found another guy Arnel Pineda from the Phillipines, and Journey fans were like, fare the well Steve! This little Filipino guy is just as good! In fact he's better than you ever were.

So boom! Steve Perry got replaced, Journey toured for 15 more years without him.

BYU Fans Are Moving On Quick from Jake Retzlaff

I thought of that because of how quickly it seems BYU fans have gotten over Jake Retzlaff.

Retzlaff won 11 games last year for BYU, something that BYU had only done one other time in the last 10 years, in 2020 with NFL draft pick Zach Wilson.

Retzlaff beat Utah on a last minute drive! Something BYU had only done one of other time in the last 14 years, by an NFL draft pick Jaren Hall.

Retzlaff rushed for 417 yards last year, yo0u gotta go back eight years to a guy who's currently in the NFL, Taysom Hill, the last time a BYU QB did that.

Yes, Retzlaff had his short comings, he threw 12 picks, he fumbled, but he won you 11 games and you beat the snot out of Colorado 36-14 in your last game with him.

So to instantly be like...this guy from Utah State who lost to James Madison and San Jose State last year, he's just as good! Heck he's probably better! Seems a little unfair to the BYJew."
