How Many Water Towers Does Utah Have?
I'm from Illinois where every little town has their own water tower.
It's the Land of Lincoln and water towers.
Utah doesn't have a lot of towers because of the mountains. Illinois is flatter than Bitcoin.
Here are some of the water towers around Utah there's only a handful.
West Jordan
Salt Lake City
South Salt Lake
Lindon

"Bacchus Water Tower is on 6400 West near 4700 South. It is owned by Northrop Grumman and is in the checker pattern because of it's age. It was a popular style for water towers around the time it was built (1940s-1960s.) The railroad below goes to Northrop Grumman but also branches off to Frito Lay in West Valley City. The railroad sees operations from the shortline Savage Bingham and Garfield during the late hours at night due to needing to use UTA Trax tracks to get from it's yard to this location." Let me know in the comments any of the big ones not on this list. It's amazing how few there are. I know there's one up in Ogden that has the Batman symbol on it.
That's pretty cool.
Water towers add a little something to the aesthetic of the town. I feel like Utah might make up for it by having the big letters up on the mountains but you gotta love a good water tower every once in a while.
