Kids are different these days.

Exhibit A: Crimson Cliffs star defensive lineman Parker Andrus

This kid is FRONT SQUATTING 500 pounds!!

Watch:

Front squatting is the most uncomfortable lift there is and this guy is putting up 500 lbs. It's hard for me to carry in two gallons of milk from the garage.

Whoever filmed that deserves some hype-man credit. Wow it's gotta be tough having 500 lbs. hanging on your two middle fingers, but to have a cameraman who believes in you makes all the difference in the world.

Here's Andus workin on getting to 600 lbs. for back squat:

All throughout the NFL Playoffs all we heard about was how Jalen Hurts could squat 600 lbs.

Here's Hurts in college:

He's the baddest Quarterback in the league when it comes to throwing weight around, but heck he's got half the team surrounding him. Andrus just needs one spotter and a hyped camera man.

No knock on Hurts. He showed us on Sunday how all that squatting equates to nobody being able to stop him on short yardage situations.

But Andrus, as a high school player(!) is close to squatting a Plymouth.

He was arguably the most dominant defensive lineman this year in Region 10 which is no doubt why he's gotten interest from Utah Tech as of a couple weeks ago he announced that he got his first D-1 offer from Coach Peterson and the Trailblazers.

Andrus and loaded Crimson Cliffs Mustangs will no doubt be one of the favorites to win the title in 4A next year, even with the added teams in 4A like Park City and Stansbury. I don't know if they got a kid putting up weight like this in the offseason.
