Southern Utah just added a new addition to its food scene with a sweet and fruity location.

Bowls Superfoods opened on the St. George Blvd on April 12 with huge crowds and lines throughout the day. After seeing some of the amazing looking acai bowls on their Instagram, I knew I had to give it a try.

With the weather heating up, a cooling and sweet treat was the perfect thing.

I tried the Lahaina which is as pretty as it is yummy. The base consisted of coconut, mango, blue pineapple, and coconut chia. The delicious bowl was topped with granola, blueberries, strawberries, pineapple, toasted coconut, goji berries, salt, honey, flax seeds, and coconut pb.

Sounds like a lot, doesn’t it?

Well, you’re right that it looks and sounds like a LOT, but I have to say, this is one of the best things I have treated myself to in a while.

Bowls Superfoods So. Utah Review

The mix of fruits and semi frozen ingredients paired well together having the effect of a tasty dessert. However, I wouldn’t be opposed to eating this as a midday snack or meal again.

It was filling without making me feel dreary and I didn’t find it to be too sweet.

At Bowls Superfoods, you can get three different acai bowl sizes, 8 oz, 16 oz and 24 oz. The price starts at $9.95 for the 8 oz but keep in mind that all these toppings are included in the price.

The location also sells smoothies, and you can build your own acai bowl if you choose.

I think this is a perfect place for Southern Utah to get right before summer hits. It feels healthier than gelato or ice cream and will be a great treat after the heat arrives.
