The sandwich was named after some fancy boy in England who was an Earl for doing probably nothing at all.

How dumb is England? They just give you stuff automatically if you're the son of somebody, and that goes on for eternity?

And if you're a peasant you're a peasant for life? And they worship a king? What year is it?

Anyway, this Earl apparently came up with the sandwich, and for that he should be respected. According to the legend, the Earl requested his meat between two pieces of bread because he was a poker player and while he was playing his cards would get greasy. The bread helped prevent that. Who knows if any of this is true.

Of course, sliced bread wasn't a thing until the 1920's or so. Meaning pre-sliced, packaged bread. This made putting a sandwich together much easier and sandwiches went nuts from there.

This is the Highest Rated Sandwich Shop in Utah

According to Google ratings, the highest rated sandwich shop in Utah with over 1,000 reviews is Buds in Salt Lake City with a 4.8 rating.

Looks like a nice hipster cool place.

If you count places that have less than 1,000 reviews, Salt Egg City has a 4.9 rating!

Looks like more of a breakfast sandwich place.

Both look great.

Cappriotti's is one of the best sandwich places in St. George. I know that they're popping up everywhere. I love the Capastrami and Bobbie. Holy moly I'm hungry.
