Ultimate Sushi Restaurant in Utah Called One of Best in Country
There are two types of people in the world: those that eat sushi, and those that say: "do you have chicken fingers?"
If you're the former, I'm sure you have a very strong opinion about sushi and where the best place is to get it in Utah. You may even be the type to mock places that aren't on the coast for serving sushi.
I really like Benja's in St. George. It's a Thai restaurant and one of the most beloved restaurants in town. Sakura is another place people flip out over.
But according to Gastronomic SLC, the best place to get sushi in the Beehive State is Takashi in Salt Lake (18 W Market St, Salt Lake City, UT 84101).
"One of the finest sushi shops in the whole state if not up with the best in the country is Takashi. This fact is anything but a well-kept secret, as the nightly crowds will attest to; keep this in mind if heading on down, the restaurant does not take reservations and it’s exceptionally popular. If you arrive later you’ll be added to a wait list and you could wait a while." (LINK TO FULL ARTICLE)
Wow this place sounds popular.
I'll need to give it a go next time I'm up in Salt Lake. I'm always trying to figure out where the heck to go when I'm up there. I usually end up at Neilsen's Frozen Custard.
"Once you’re in Takashi, you’re in for a treat. Whether you sit at the sushi bar and enjoy traditional nigiri and sashimi or take a table and explore some of the contemporary (Beatles-themed) maki sushi rolls – you will be rewarded by some of the most talented sushi chefs in town, handling some of the very finest product." This place really looks tremendous. I can't wait to try it out. Give it a Goog, look at some pics and reviews. This place looks special.
