"The first fall frost date represents the average day when temperatures in your region may drop to 32°F (0°C), enough to damage many tender plants. This date marks the transition from warm-season growth to dormancy and winter preparation. While frost dates are based on statistical averages (30% probability), they are not absolute guarantees—frost can happen earlier or later."

So knowing all of this is supposed to get gardeners to get their "tender" stuff out of the ground before Mr. White Christmas shows up.

I'm not a huge gardener but I hear it's quite relaxing.

You get outdoors away from your family in the quiet. Put on a podcast about how soon we'll all be dead.

Pulling up the carrots and beets apparently does wonders for your stress levels, plus the food you grow yourself is gonna be better for you and a lot cheaper! Heck a dozen baby carrots cost like $90 dollars these days.

Plus it helps getting your dead one up off the couch and gets you in motion. You gotta get a spade and hack away, you gotta pull weeds or whatever is in there at first. And there's just something about putting your hands in the dirt that really makes you feel likeView All Galleries you've done something with your day.

What do you say? Are you into gardening?
