BYU Should Be Kind of Happy Kind of Not

Shower Thought - November 5, 2025

I play jeopardy with my family. Whenever we're together it's a great game ken jennings, RIP Alex Trebek. We play it a little different where everybody has a chance to give an answer to every question, and there's no penalty for getting it wrong. And there's several times throughout the game where people refuse to give even a guess because they don't want to humiliate themselves. It's a question like what country is Mount Everest in. And they're like, I think I know it, but I feel like if I guess Japan, and I'm basically gonna reveal how dumb I am. So I'm just not gonna give an answer a preserve my dignity. You're not gonna guess, no, no guess. I don't wanna say the wrong thing. I'm just gonna sit here quietly.

That's what the college football committee did last night to BYU.

Let's see, who should go fourth after Undefeated ohio state, undefeated Indiana, undefeated Texas A&M...silence. In all of their heads...how about undefeated BYU...they're undefeated but...they haven't lost just like those other teams, their their strength of schedule and biggest win mirrors ohio state...silence. Fear. I don't wanna say BYU and get made fun of so I'll stay quiet. Then somebody says what about Bama! Yeah Bama. Eye test. They lsot to a crappy team but Bama. Then they all just start chanting bama over and over again. Then Georgia, Kirby's visor. Mississippi, they produce NFL talent yeah. Ok none of us are dumb. Good nobody's making fun. Eye test. SEC! We're not dumb! We're not dumb!
