After an improved but still difficult season in 2022, the Tigers are thrilled to have a running back returning who is a proven entity at the varsity level.

Ethan Staples rushed for four yards per carry as a junior and two touchdowns.

He helped Hurricane to a 28-19 win over Pine View, their first win over the Panthers in years!

His best game of the year came against Cottonwood. The shifty Stapes went for 119 yards on 14 carries and the Tigers won the game 59-37.

COACHES COMMENTS

"We are excited to have Ethan Staples return on the offensive side of the ball as a Senior. Ethan is an explosive athlete and so quick at those little adjustments that make it hard for defenders to hit him square or that little adjustment that sets up blocks. More importantly Ethan is a great kid and gives you everything he has every play."

-Coach Cory Ashby

Hurricane opens their season on the road against Mountain Crest on Friday August 11th.
