Here are the results from yesterday's Super Regional games. Action continues today starting at 1p.m.

(#8) Bear River 8 (#9) Pine View 0

This was a surprising final. I think these two teams matchup pretty well. Bear River had 11 hits in games one and walked five times. We'll see if Pine View can get the bats going in game two.

(#5) Desert Hills 8 (#12) Cedar 7 - (Listen at 1pm on ESPN 97.7 presented by Ideal Home and Paint!)

The Thunder were up 8-1 late in the game against Cedar. The Reds rallied and scored four runs in the top of the seventh including a two run home run by the freshman Gavin Mackert. It was an incredible comeback and the Reds have a lot to be proud of heading into game two.

Desert Hills executed beautifully the first five innings. Landon Musgrave pitched a gem, striking out 11 Reds and making things easy on his defense. The Thunder also executed small ball to move runners around the bases and Cole Decastro and Kyler Terry both went deep.

I think the Thunder will come into game two with a ton of focus knowing that Cedar has the capability of stealing a game in this series.

(#4) Mountain Crest 15 (#13) Logan 0

No surprise here. Logan hasn't won all year. Mountain Crest has won their last 10 games.

(#7) Green Canyon 11 (#10) Hurricane 0

It's disappointing that the Tigers didn't get on the board. They've been able to put up runs this year even in games they've lost to good teams. I think Hurricane can make this a three game series, but they've got to figure out a way to score.

(#6) Ridgeline 7 (#11) Sky View 5

Good battle for the Bobcats. I was expecting a more lopsided final here.

10 GEORGES WE COULD NAME ST. GEORGE UTAH AFTER

Not a big George A. Smith fan? Don't worry about it. Just imagine St. George is named after one of these other famous Georges.
