The western conference clash between the red-hot Jazz and Steph Curry and the Warriors is not happening tonight due to a loss within the Golden State Warriors family.

The game, originally set for 7:00 tipoff has ben postponed by the National Basketball Association after Warriors assistant coach, Dejan Milojevic, was hospitalized with a serious health issue.

Andy Larsen of the Salt Lake Tribune mentioned on X that a Serbian outlet, Sportsklub reported that the medical issue was a heart attack suffered last night.

Larsen also alluded to the SF chronicle for insight to how the Warriors as a whole are doing as a team:

According to Eurohoops.net, multiple Serbian websites reported that Milojevic passed away from these complications. Eurohoops confirmed these claims and it was later shared by NBA Insider Adrian Wojnarowski.

Milojevic was 46 years old and had been with Golden State since 2021.

There is no official date for when the rematch will occur and the Utah Jazz released an official statement in support of the Warriors Organization.:

As far as fans who were planning on attending tonight’s game in the Delta Center, the purchased tickets will be honored when the game has a new date and time.

This was supposed to be game 1 of a back-to-back situation in front of the home crowd but with the postponement the Jazz will resume the season tomorrow night against the Oklahoma City Thunder at 7:00.

Golden State is next scheduled to be in Dallas this Friday, the 19th.

The last time Utah had a game postponed was during the covid impacted season of 2021:
