Shower Thought - October 29, 2025

There are some famous training videos by Ted Williams who was the last player to hit 400 in a season and he's one of the greatest hitters ever. And on YouTube you can go watch him explain the science of hitting. The coil, weight transfer, the snap, gotta snap the wrists, uppercut slightly about 6 degrees. And boom! Williams hit 521 home runs including a 43 home run season. He hit 406 in 1941. Lifetime OPS of 1.115. BUT I'm sure major leaguers these days would watch his instructional videos and think yeah ok pops. You didn't have to deal with what we're dealing with. We're all hitting 225 for a reason. Thanks for the tapes but you've never seen a sweeper, or a spin rate of 3000 like Tyler Glasnow throws, or 106 high and tight, But thanks!

This is how NBA players think when MJeff starts lecturing them about Load Management. NBC is trying to recreate the 1990s in the NBA. John Tesh. The song, etc. And they went and paid MJeff Aj Dybansta money to come in and do a series of interviews. And we know NBA players threw out Jerry West and John Havlicek for playing against Plumbers in the 70's, and they threw out Bird and Magic because everybody was on cocaine and skinny in the 80s and there was no 3 point shots, ok well we're gonna send Barkley at ya to lecture you. He's fat, never won a title, we don't respect Barkley. What about Shaq, he's an idiot too. Ok fine. Enter Sandman. We're bringing in MJeff to teach you lazy entitled children a lesson. He's on your shoes. He's on your clothes. Everybody worships Jordan still. Right? No. These guys look at Jordan talking about load management and think, you were playing against Craig Ehlo. We're playing against a guy who's 7'5' and can dunk from half court he dribbles like Tim Hardaway. You couldn't shoot beyond 20 feet that's all we do. So yes we will bow our heads and nod about Jordan. But we would bust him if he was playing now. That's how they think. NBC it's was a valiant effort, but let MJeff back to the craps table.
