It's now official.

Utah isn't messing around anymore with these phones.

They're the bane of all of our existence.

Our necks hurt. Our kids grow up and leave the house during a YouTube video. The dog's been dead for over a week. We haven't slept since they used to send CD-Roms in the mail. Our spouse is virtually and emotionally with another man we're sure. China is playing uno with our credit cards. We haven't seen the sun since field day at elementary. We believe JFK was a suicide. It's all over.

Well, not for the fatcats on Capitol Hill.

Per the Associated Press: (LINK TO FULL ARTICLE)

"Utah on Wednesday became the first state to pass legislation requiring app stores to verify users’ ages and get parental consent for minors to download apps to their devices.

The bill headed to the desk of Gov. Spencer Cox has pitted Meta, which operates Facebook and Instagram, against app store giants Apple and Google over who should be responsible for verifying ages. Similar bills have been introduced in at least 12 other states in the latest fight over children’s online safety. The proposals targeting app stores follow legal fights over laws requiring social media platforms to verify the ages of users."

I think this is good.

Although, you could say isn't it the parents' job to know what they're kids are downloading on their phones? And if it's such a problem why are parents giving their kids app capable phones? Just get one of those Gabbs.

What do you think?
