Biggest Comedian in the World Coming to Utah in March
Everybody always says that Saturday Night Live "hasn't been funny since I was in high school."
I'm now of the age where I say that once or twice a week.
I don't watch SNL anymore, but I used to when I was in high school.
But I must say, I watched several clips from this past weekend and it was because Shane Gillis was the host.
He's the guy who SNL hired a few years ago and then fired before he even got there because they found some stuff he said on a podcast years before that was offensive.
And honestly, that was probably the best thing to ever happen to his career.
Now he's the biggest show on the planet and he's coming to The Delta Center on March 15th.
Here's a short bio from his website:
"Shane Gillis is a stand-up comic, actor, and writer from Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. After winning Philly’s Funniest at Helium Comedy Club in 2016 Shane was named an “Up-Next” Comic at Comedy Central’s 2019 Clusterfest in San Francisco and a “New Face” at the prestigious Just For Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal."
Tickets are look to be around $150 just to get in to the event. But hey that's a heckuva lot better than a Taylor Swift concert!
Here's his most popular skit from SNL. People are saying it's the funniest skit SNL has done in around 20 years. I think that's semi-insulting to guys like Bill Hader and Fred Armisen and the guy who does MacGruber but check it out:
