Big Price Increase Coming to Utah Dollar Tree Stores
The clue is in the title.
When you go to Dick's Sporting Goods you expect to be able to find a baseball bat.
When you go to Dollar Tree you expect to find items for a dollar.
What about $7 dollar items at the Dollar Tree?
We've lost our way!
According to Yahoo.com: (LINK TO FULL ARTICLE)
"Dollar Tree's multi-price strategy is still in effect. So, customers will still see items that are even higher than $1.25, sometimes $7, or even as high as $20 for certain items. Despite the fact that there hasn't been an increase in prices from $1.25 to $1.50, customers are still waiting with baited breath to see if this change will go into effect."
Good heavens.
There are those who say: "I don't go to Dollar Tree because the eggs are from pre-Covid."
And then then there are those who say:: "Buck up snob, times are tough and my kids need sustenance."
I'm with the latter people.
Dollar Tree was supposed to "keep it real."
Now they're going corporate and we're all gonna suffer.
Easter is right around the corned and I'll be danged if I'm gonna pay over $1.25 for some of this crap. My kids don't even believe in the Easter Bunny, yet we still have to perform for them. Why? They're laughing at us. Why are we wasting good Cadbury chocolate on these snotty children. Give 'em the expired stuff from Halloween! And enough with the egg hunts. It's too much. You gotta get together with all the family and sit there realizing most of your kids and their cousins will be lucky to make junior college.
