Fairytales can come true…St. George Utah Gets Famed Restaurant
Mama mia.
There are days when you wake up and you say: "don't talk to me until I'm out of the house."
And then there are days when you say: "J-Dawgs is opening in St. George??"
Today is the latter.
"🚨 St. George! 🚨 Your prayers have been answered. We open Friday, March 7!"
I've only eaten at J.Dawgs three times. Each time lit me up inside.
I love this place.
From their website: (LINK TO WEBSITE)
"In 2004 I pawned my Fender Telecaster to rebuild a small shack in a small town dedicated to a few simple ideas: that good should be simple, that tin foil is better than plates and that napkins are always optional. That shack became my favorite place on earth, where a hot grill, all-natural dawgs, and homemade buns served over a good conversation are always a man's best friend."
People are going crazy.
Here's some details about their menu:
"These aren't your run-of-the-mill ingredients. We take our dawgs seriously. That means all-natural meat, a homemade sauce that's been in our family for a couple of generations, and locally baked buns made fresh every single day." (LINK TO WEBSITE)
And they keep it simple. You get a dawg, either a Polish or Beef. You get fries and a drink. And you get condiments: Special Sauce (which is electric and may be what really sets it apart), onion, sauerkraut, banana peppers, jalapeños, pickles.
That's the sign of a great restaurant. Do one thing and do it well. Somebody famous said that.
I can't wait to head over to J.Dawgs.
Let me know in the comments if you've been!
