"The Utah National Guard said in a post on X that live artillery training will begin Tuesday and continue through Friday.
“Most of the training should be conducted between 8 am and 8 pm Wednesday, Thursday, Friday,” the post said. “Loud booms are expected periodically throughout this time.”
Nice!
The Utah National guard has 30 armories and 27 communities.
The Garrison headquarters are in Draper.
I wasn't too familiar with the Utah National Guard but it's great to find out about all of the stuff they're doing.
Here's some more detail from the website guard.utah.gov: (LINK TO FULL PAGE)
"The Utah Army National Guard isn’t just a part-time gig—it’s even better, it’s a chance to join an elite team of warriors who train to handle anything thrown at them from disaster relief to full-scale combat, you’ll push your limits, learn to lead, and get hands-on experience with some of the most advanced gear in the military."
I know several guys who have gotten involved and work on weekends or some sort of part-time hours that allow them to keep their regular jobs.
It seems like s pretty good setup.
"Whether you're kicking in doors, flying helicopters, or mastering cyber warfare, you’ll be developing skills that make you unstoppable and confident. Plus, you get paid, earn college benefits, and build a career while staying connected to your home community. This isn’t just service—it’s a challenge to be the best person you can be."
