The Utah Mammoth’s Excitingly Unique Preseason Schedule Has Released
Utah’s first year in the NHL grabbed the attention of many.
Whether it was pre-existing fans who now had a local team to root for or non hockey fans now had an outlet to become interested, the team became the next big thing in Salt Lake City.
Considering the fact that it was a franchise worst season for the Utah Jazz and local fans were feeling the need to have something worthwhile to cheer for, it was relatively easy to get immediate interest in the NHL’s newest product.
The thing about hockey, is once you give it a chance it’s hard to stay away.
If you took in a game on the TV or attended the Delta Center in person then you likely felt the joy that hockey can bring.
Watching that first goal of the game rip into the net, hearing the puck skip across the ice, feeling the collision of two high speed players on blades crash into each other at full force.

There is no doubt the NHL’s first season in Utah contributed to a major uptick in fandom and hockey interest for not only the state, but the NHL as a whole.
So if you became romantic about hockey during the season and can’t wait to see the refreshed Mammoth take the ice, I got somewhat good news for you.
Although I can’t make the new season happen any faster, the Mammoth have officially released their preseason schedule for the 2025-2026 season.
Utah Mammoth Preseason Schedule 2025-2026:
This means that instead of daydreaming about hockey, one can daydream about hockey with a specific date.
The gametime action will commence September 21st for the Mammoth as they visit their northern neighbors by doing battle with the Colorado Avalanche in a “split squad” series making the opener a two-parter in one day.
A quick turnaround will see Utah shuttle to Anaheim to square off with the Ducks on a Monday night on September 22nd.
One more true preseason road game awaits as The Mammoth will try to invade the fortress in Las Vegas against the Golden Knights on September 25th.
After having 4 road games to start the preseason, Utah’s 5th game shakes thinks up by having the Los Angeles Kings and Utah meet on neutral ice as they give the crowd in Boise, Idaho a pro hockey showcase at the Idaho Central Arena on the 30th of September.
Finally after 5 total preseason games, Utah fans can anticipate seeing the new Mammoth identity on ice in a more renovated Delta Center live and in person in Salt Lake City on the 2nd of October as they meet up with the Kings again.
The 2nd home game and final game of the preseason comes on October 4th as the San Jose Sharks come to town.
We then know the regular season will begin on October 7th, but for who the Mammoth play, as well as where and when is to be determined as the regular season schedule has yet to be made public.
Last year they released the schedule towards the first part of July so fans likely wont wait long.
But in the meantime, you now have an idea of when you can get back to enjoying hockey games on an almost nightly basis, so put it on your calendar and get excited!
But not to excited, because that will only make time go slower. Be chill about it.
The next activity for the Utah Mammoth will be participating in the NHL draft, of which they hold the 4th overall selection.
The first round of the draft will take place on June 27th, Friday starting at 5:00 while airing on NHL Network and ESPN +.
