The Hangar was electric last night as two of the top teams in the state battled at Dixie High School in one of the best games of the year.

Dixie got out to a 10-0 lead in the first two minutes of the game behind great defense and transition buckets. Jordan Roberts lead the flyers with 12 assists on the night.

But Desert Hills was resilient. The Thunder trailed most of the first half by double digits, but they kept fighting back and hitting big shots. Desert Hills made 14 three pointers on the night, including four from Lincoln Holmes, who lead all scorers with 25 points, and four from Boston Holbrook. They shot 50% from deep on the night against one of the best perimeter defensive teams they'll face all year.

Dixie's offense was lead by Breckon Robinson who scored 23 points. Robinson was excellent shooting the three, but was just as good cutting without the ball and getting open layups on back door cuts, as well as driving to the rim.

"Just went out and played my game, shot the ball, had fun," said Robinson after the game. "Props to [Desert Hills] shot really great tonight. They were all shooting great. We just stick to our game, get the ball to Kyle [Lemke], don't get rushed by them making shots, we just gotta come out an do our thing."

With only seconds left in the fourth quarter, Dixie had a three point lead and the ball, but committed a 5-second violation on an inbounds pass that gave Desert Hills one last chance. Dixie wisely fouled the Thunder before they could shoot the three to tie the game, and the Thunder missed the free throw and Dixie got the rebound to seal the game.

Noah Lemke went 8-10 from the field for 18 points and also pulled down 8 rebounds.

The Flyers will play at Cedar on Friday and that game will be broadcast on 590 KSUB.

The Thunder will play at Snow Canyon on ESPN 97.7.
