"There's an old joke about Easter that applies probably to everbody. In order to get my kid to pick up his toys at night I've gotta pick him up and drag him around and drop him down he's hanging there like Tom Cruise picking up his car toys. And there's tears shed it's a painful experience for all involved. Pick up your toys. Please. Threats are made about not being able to play with them tomorrow, no treats. Nothing works he's not buying it. But then yesterday Easter Egg hunt we put eggs all over the yard in bushes that have thorns, dangerous places, he's contorting his body to get to them, he's reaching his hand in the thorn bush with great finesse, he's a maestro at getting these eggs! Where is this effort and ability at night when it's time to get his toys off the floor.

This is the NBA playoffs. There's an idea that there's a lot of Cinderella opportunities in the NBA playoffs this year and that there's more upsets in the NBA than in March Madness, and that this is a big selling point for the NBA. Six underdog teams won playoff series last year, in 2023 it was 7. Before that there hadn't been more than 5 since 1995! NBA Playoffs is Madness these days! Tune in! Well it's Easter. These guys tanked all season long refusing to pick up their toys. Silver threatened em about rest, about load management etc...nothing worked to stop them from coasting, but now it's Easter and they're flying around. Golden State is a 7 seed. They're not an underdog against Houston. Neither are the Timberwolves against the Lakers or the Clippers against the Nuggets. They're fake cinderellas who now want some candy."
